Browser Comparison

Which browser works the fastest? Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome?
Since these two questions are quite popular nowadays, we decide to put on a timer test on the three internet browser.
First, the computer use in the test is window vista with 4 GB Memory (RAM) and 64-bit Operating System.
Second, the different browser and their version were used in this comparison.

Firefox 3.6 Google Chrome 8 Internet Explorer 8
After found a page through the net to load the test began.
As a result, there is hardly any different in counts of second or minute.
In conclusion, the like of one or other browsers is based on personal standard. I personally like Firefox for it outlook and its name.

GOOGLE Scholarship

Google will be handing out $10,000 Scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year. Selected students will also be invited to attend the annual Google Scholars' Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View California in 2011. Scholarships are to be awarded on strenght of applicants academic background and who demonstrate passion for computer science. Applicants must also be in the junior or senior year of undergraduate studies or enrolled in a graduate program.

The Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust scholarship

The Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust has earmarked $13 Million from its foundation that will be distributed between Indianapolis , IN and Phoenix , AZ. A significant portion of this money has been designated for scholarships that can be used for up to four years of study at Ivy Tech Community Collegein Indianapolis and for up to six years at IUPUIin Indianapolis . The program is called Nina Scholars.

Eligible applicants include both men and women in three categories:
· Adults 25 years or older with dependents
· Physically disabled adults or traditional college-age young adults
· College-age young adults who have been raised in the child welfare system

Scholarships for Engineering and Computer Science

The Hispanic College Fund is accepting scholarship applications now through March 1, 2011 for the 2011-2012 academic year. Scholarships range from $500 - $10,000. To apply, students must:

• be of Hispanic background
• maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale)
• be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have graduated from high school in the U.S. after attending at least 3 years (by June 2011)
• reside in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
• plan to enroll in a fulltime undergraduate, and in some cases graduate, program for the 2011- 2012 academic year at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
• demonstrate financial need

*Some programs will have additional requirements

Google to Hire More Than 6,200 Workers This Year

SAN FRANCISCO – Google Inc. plans to hire more than 6,200 workers this year in the biggest expansion yet by the Internet's most profitable company.

The hiring spree will likely be welcomed by President Barack Obama, who is expected to emphasize the need for more jobs during his State of the Union address Tuesday night. Google CEO Eric Schmidt was among a group of business leaders who met with Obama last month to discuss ways to bolster the listless economy.

But Google's push to further expand a work force that grew by 23 percent last year may not be as well received on Wall Street, where the Internet search leader's spending has annoyed some investors who would prefer a more frugal approach in hopes of fatter returns.

Google executives have consistently brushed aside those concerns, saying that the company needs to aggressively recruit the smartest computer engineers and most persuasive sales representatives to maintain its lead in online search and advertising, as well as to diversify into other services in computing, telecommunications and the media.
